Physical Therapy for People with Parkinson's Disease
With my Parkinson's patients, I work on:
- maintaining mobility, strength, coordination, and the ability to walk,
- learning cueing strategies (for people affected by freezing),
- and maintaining independence.

What do you need for physiotherapy?
Before you come in for therapy:
You need a doctor’s prescription specifying the number of sessions, duration, and type of therapy.
For example:
- 10x Physiotherapie zu je 45 min, 10x Heilmassage zu je 15 minof 15 minutes
- 10x Einzelheilgymnastik zu je 45 min
Depending on your health insurance provider, you’ll need approval from your respective provider before starting therapy.
- ÖGK or BVAEB: No approval of the prescription is required
- SVS or KfA: The doctor’s prescription must be approved by the respective provider.
For your first therapy session:
- Bring your doctor's prescription, all available medical records and doctor’s reports
- Bring a current list of medications, if applicable
- Bring or wear comfortable clothing (including shorts if your health issues relate to the lower back and lower extremity)
- A large towel
Please arrive on time for your appointment (about 10 minutes before the start of therapy)
